Vladyslava Luchenko – Violinist
“A violinist of rare integrity, emotional depth, and visionary artistry”
Ukrainian violinist Vladyslava Luchenko is a soloist whose performances speak with both heart and authority, weaving technical brilliance with emotional truth. Described as a musician of “rare sincerity, vulnerability, and strength”, she brings a commanding voice to the concert stage, equally at home with the great concertos and music that deserves to be rediscovered.
Her artistic vision centers on performing music with meaning — from iconic masterpieces to lesser-known gems that speak across time and culture. With deep lyrical insight and refined control, Luchenko creates experiences of true emotional resonance.
Early promise and global formation
Born in Kyiv in 1988, Vladyslava Luchenko began her musical journey as a child prodigy at the Lysenko Specialized Music School. Her natural musical intuition and perfect pitch were quickly recognized, and by age 11 she had already debuted as a soloist with national orchestras in Ukraine. Early successes led to international touring across Europe and an invitation to collaborate with the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation.
She later studied with Zakhar Bron at the Zurich University of the Arts, followed by advanced studies at the Hanns Eisler Academy in Berlin with Stephan Picard, and ultimately joined the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium, where she was mentored by Augustin Dumay. Her accolades include top prizes at the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition (2nd Prize, Audience Award, and Best Bartók Interpretation), the David Oistrakh International Competition, and prestigious Swiss scholarships.
An international soloist with cultural depth
Vladyslava has performed as a soloist with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, the Verbier Festival Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, Orchestra I Virtuosi Italiani, Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, and others. She has collaborated with conductors such as Theodore Kuchar, Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Augustin Dumay and Kaspar Zehnder.
In 2023, she completed a major two-month solo tour of the United States with the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra — an artistic and cultural statement that was met with critical and audience acclaim.
Her performances are widely praised for their deep inner lyricism, technical transparency, and expressive risk-taking, and her stage presence has been described as “magnetic, sensitive, and commanding.”
